Single or double blanket: which size do you need?
Measure the top of your bed, then add about 15–20 inches on each side so the blanket tucks in or hangs over the edge.
- Single blanket – 89 x 60 inches (about 226 x 152 cm): for one person on a single bed, a child’s bed, or to keep on the sofa for TV time.
- Double blanket – 89 x 90 or 90 x 90 inches (about 229 x 229 cm): for two people on a double or queen bed. On a king-size bed it covers the top but hangs less over the sides.
- Baby blanket – about 36 x 36 inches: for a cot, pram or car seat. Babies overheat easily, so use a light blanket and check their neck to see if they are too warm.
If two people share a bed, buy a double even in a small room. Two singles leave a cold gap in the middle and slide off at night.
Fleece, printed or embossed: what is the difference?
Plain fleece blankets
Fleece is a soft polyester fabric that feels warm the moment you lie down. It is light, does not itch like wool, goes into the washing machine and dries quickly – which matters in winter when sun is short. Our plain fleece double blankets come in brown, navy and maroon at Rs 2,649.
Printed fleece blankets
The same soft fleece with a floral or patterned print. Prints hide everyday marks better than plain colours, which makes them a good choice for children’s rooms and guest beds. The 90 x 90 inch printed double comes in six colours (green, brown, blue, black, red and maroon).
Embossed (3D panel) blankets
Embossed blankets – often sold as “Irani” or four-border blankets – have a raised, carved pattern with a centre panel and borders on all four sides. They look rich on a bed and make a good wedding or housewarming gift. Ours is single-ply (one layer), so it is soft and easy to handle rather than very heavy. How warm will a fleece blanket keep me?
For most of Pakistan – Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad – one fleece blanket is enough from November to mid-December, and a fleece blanket plus a razai or comforter covers the coldest weeks of late December and January. In very cold places such as Quetta, Murree or northern KPK, use the blanket as an extra layer on top of a razai.
We do not list blanket weights because our suppliers do not give a tested figure, and we would rather not guess. If warmth is your main need, layer: a comforter set underneath your blanket is warmer than one very heavy blanket, and easier to wash.
How to choose the right blanket: a 5-point checklist
- Size in inches – check it on the product page against your bed.
- Fabric – fleece for easy washing; embossed for a richer look.
- Colour – darker colours and prints hide marks; check the real photo on the product page (screens can show colours slightly differently).
- Who will use it – children and guests: printed; main bedroom: plain or embossed; babies: a small, light blanket.
- Delivery and returns – with us you pay Cash on Delivery, check the sealed parcel in front of the rider, and have 7 days to return an unused blanket (return policy).
How to wash and care for a fleece blanket
- Wash in cold or lukewarm water on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Skip bleach and fabric softener – softener coats fleece and makes it feel flat.
- Wash it alone the first time, in case the colour runs.
- Dry in the shade or on low heat. Never iron fleece – it melts.
- Shake it out after drying to lift the pile, and use a lint remover if small balls appear.
- In summer, store it clean and fully dry in a cloth bag or a quilt storage box, with a few cloves against insects.
