5-seater, 6-seater or 7-seater: count your seats
- 5-seater = 3+1+1: one three-seat sofa and two single chairs – the most common drawing-room set.
- 6-seater = 3+2+1: one three-seater, one two-seater and one single chair.
- 7-seater: larger sets, usually a three-seater plus two-seaters and/or single chairs. Count every seat and check the product photos before you order.
- L-shaped or corner sofas need a cover made for that shape – the sets on this page are for separate sofas and chairs.
Quilted lay-over vs fitted stretch covers
Quilted lay-over covers
A thick, quilted sheet that lies over the seat, back and arms. It protects against dust, spills, children and pets, fits most standard sofas because it does not need to stretch, and is easy to take off and wash. It does move a little when people sit, so tuck the extra fabric into the gaps between seat and back.
Fitted stretch covers
Jersey, mesh or velvet fabric that stretches over each sofa piece and grips underneath, so it looks like new upholstery. It gives a neater, tighter look but must match your sofa’s shape – check the size photos on the product page before ordering. Velvet looks the richest; jersey is the most budget-friendly.
How to measure your sofa
- Measure the width of each piece from the outside of one arm to the outside of the other.
- Measure the depth of the seat and the height of the back.
- Compare with the size or dimension photos on the product page. If you are unsure, send us your measurements on WhatsApp and we will check before you order.
Care tips
- Shake out dust daily and wash every few weeks on a gentle cold cycle.
- Dry in the shade so the colour stays even; do not iron stretch mesh or velvet.
- Turn lay-over covers around now and then so they wear evenly.
